Textiles in Full bloom.

Textiles in Full Bloom is inspired by Charleston House’s vibrant legacy and the uninhibited creativity of the Bloomsbury Group. Having grown up nearby it has been a constant source of unconscious and conscious inspiration for me. Upon entering the house you are hit with a celebration of colour, artistic freedom and history of those who lived and visited the house. Channeling the group’s avant-garde approach to decor, I draw inspiration from their bold use of colour and penchant for abstract shapes.

The Bloomsbury Group, a collective of intellectuals and artists in early 20th century Britain, challenged traditional conventions with their innovative lifestyle and unconventional aesthetics. Their legacy resonates in my designs, which pay homage to their spirit of experimentation and the joyous vitality that filled their living spaces.
